Youth Bowler Qualifies for National
Pepsi USBC Championship!
Janelle Mason heads to Detroit this July!
A Greencastle youth bowler and seventh grade student at GMS, Janelle Mason, earned one of two spots available in the 12 & over female division in the Pepsi State qualifier this month! Mason had a score of 1430 after bowling six games. She, also, earned a $500 college scholarship. She is on a role this season as she was awarded Most Improved Female bowler in her 2007-2008 GGUSBC youth league at Alex Alleys last month during the spring awards banquet.
Stone Hyten, another youth bowler at Alex Alleys, earned a $300 scholarship by snagging second place in the 11 &under male division. The 11 & under divisions do not get to travel to nationals though. Hyten rolled three games for a final score of 730. Interestingly enough, Hyten was awarded Most Improved Male bowler in his 2007-2008 GGUSBC youth league at Alex Alleys as well!
Congratulations to both of these awesome youths!
